Set
up five years ago by Anthony Johnson, Dockwood
have established a reputation for making quality,
unusual and quite stunning pieces of furniture,
mirrors and smaller pieces for customers who
are looking for something that little bit
special.
All the pieces are unique and carefully crafted using magnificent
beams cut from ancient Douglas Fir Trees, which were felled
to make pontoons at Plymouth Dockyards during the second war,
it is believed that some of the wood was also transported from
Canada and many years in the sea have created an amazing ageing
effect. The outer cuts from the beams are shown off in the mirror
frames and the inner cuts in the furniture.
